Retirement

Steve

After 30 years, Lighthouse's founder and current Chairman, Steve Fessey, is retiring at the end of December.

It all started in a small office in the Lace Market area of Nottingham, in 1991.

Steve says, "It has been a privilege to work with a great team of people for three decades. As you can imagine, there have been plenty of challenges along the way, but from humble beginnings, we never lost sight of our core principles and always moved forwards.

The ultimate recognition came in 2013, when Max Co of Japan, with a turnover in excess of £500m and established in 1940, made their first ever acquisition outside of Japan. I've enjoyed a further 8 years working with our amazing parent company, seeing Lighthouse continue to grow and expand, even through the pandemic.

30 years seems a nice round number, so I leave the business in extremely safe hands, with experienced professionals, delivering an unrivalled service across Europe, every day.

Thanks to all the staff, colleagues, customers, dealers and supply chain people I have worked with along the way. Hopefully see some of you on a golf course soon!"
